Naturally kept.........

All horses are kept as naturally as possible, out 24/7, rugged only when necessary, clipped and shod only when necessary.

The foals I have bred are weaned when ready, gradually and fully integrated into the herd before their mother is finally removed.

The herd has some stable elements - my own horses, broodmares, retired gents; others necessarily come and go as they are bought and sold. This ensures a good mix of them learning to integrate well in a herd environment.

However, they do spend some time alone in a stable, just to get used to it in case it’s ever necessary due to illness or injury.
