All horses are passported, some are registered with breed societies, all are wormed, some are micro-chipped, and some have primary vaccinations.

Sound and Healthy ………….

Any known conditions such as sweet itch are listed and priced accordingly. Horses with sweet itch come with a Boett rug to easily manage this condition (for more detail, see www.sweet-itch.co.uk).

If soundness for a particular discipline is important to you, you are advised to get any prospective purchase vetted.

What you can’t expect ….

A machine!

The horses I sell are described as accurately as possible, and rated for “easiness” ... BUT please remember that I have 35 years of horse experience to draw on, and this tends to make most horses easy - for me!  You may not get the same results, so make sure you are realistic about your experience and abilities.

My horses have never been given reason to be afraid, never been given reason to bite or kick, never been allowed to barge or push. My farrier and dentist are sympathetic and used to youngsters.

These are still young horses, waiting for you to put your mark on them. If you don’t keep up training and handling, any horse can develop bad habits.

Therefore it’s up to you to have or be prepared to acquire the necessary skill, patience and consistency to deal with a young horse.

There are further details on what you can expect on the 20-Point Plan page.

Most of my horses sell to the first or second person to see them.  I feel this is because I describe them accurately, and ask lots of questions of prospective owners before they come to try.  This saves wasting everyone's time and effort unnecessarily.
